Beck, Gilda Ciotti
Gilda Ciotti Beck, age 81, of Erie, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Saint Mary's at Asbury Ridge after a brief illness. She was born February 23, 1927 in Erie, a daughter of the late George and Josephine Luciano Ciotti. She lived in Erie her entire life. She had worked as the Assistant to the County Executive. She was an active member of the Hamot Aid Society and served on the Board of the Erie County Retirees. She enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Beck and her brother, Jon Ciotti. She is survived by one daughter, Christine B. Vitanza of Austin, Texas; two sons, Richard G. Beck of Pittsburgh, Pa. and David J. Beck of New Canaan, Conn.; two sisters, Gerrie Ciacchini and her husband Roland 'Chic" and Jeanette Bickerstaff both of Erie; one brother, George Ciotti and his wife Dorine of Houston, Texas and five grandchildren, Angelo Vitanza, Julianne, Grant, Melissa and Allison Beck. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at John R. Bossart, Francis A.
Francis A. Bossart, Age 90, of Erie, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on March 5, 1918 a son of the late Howard and Ann Becker Bossart. He was in the Navy in WWII and Korea. He became a Firefighter for the City of Erie retiring after 21 years of service. After his retirement, he became an Electrician for IBEW Local 56. He is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Lander Bossart and a brother, Kenneth Bossart. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Greenawalt and her husband Leo of Seattle, Wash. and Mary Ann Bossart of Erie, a son, Joseph Bossart and his wife Debbie of Erie, four grandchildren, Jane O'Halloran and her husband Kevin and Daniel Greenawalt and his wife Jennifer both of Washington State, Michelle Bossart and her husband Tim Walsh of Tennessee and Greg Bossart of Erie, four great-grandchildren, Abigail and Owen Walsh and Wyatt and Sorin Greenawalt, a sister, Janet Guth and her husband James of Erie and several nieces and nephews also survive. Caravaglia, Angelo
Angelo Caravaglia, 83, passed away on May 6, 2008, at his residence that he shared with his sister Sanita Soety in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Erie, the son of Luigi and Josephine Milesenna Caravaglia. Angelo served in the US Army during World War II. He then became an accomplish artist recognized for his sculptures, paintings and carvings. He started his education at Cranbrook Academy of Fine Arts in Bloomfield, Michigan from 1946-1950. He then received a Fulbright Grant/Scholarship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy. His studies continued as followed, he received five research grants: Tiffany Grant (graphics), Dr. Francis Onorati (one year award due to bronze casting in Italy) and a Maxwell Gallery Grant to work in FLorence, Italy. His work has been exhibited in over 100 National and International shows and/or galleries. For the next 20 plus years, he taught Art at the University of Utah. He was a well respected Professor and mentor to so many. In addition to his parents, his sister Vita LaTona and brother Louis predeceased him. Angelo is survived by three children Donatello, Jena Silvana, and his five siblings: Thomas of New York City, Frank, Lena Mariella and Lillian Detzel of Erie, Pa., and Santia Soety of Phoenix, Ariz. Burg D.V.M., Millard
Millard Burg, age 87, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at St. Mary's Home, Gallagher Center. He was born on October 28, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Gilbert and Ruth Burg. He graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Spanish. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Middlesex College in Waltham, Massachusetts. In addition, he furthered his education at the University of Toronto earning a Master's degree in Public Health. Throughout his life, he valued family, education and social justice. As long as he was able, he keenly followed current events and supported all efforts for peace and for a better world. In his leisure time, he loved listening to music, especially classical. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Charlotte F. Burg, and his brother, Manuel Burg. He is survived by his four cherished daughters: Dr. Margaret Charous and her husband Dr. B. Lauren Charous of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; RuthMary Zak and her husband Kenneth Zak of Erie; Elizabeth Kiland and her husband Mark Kiland of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; and Alexandra Burg. He is also survived by his four dear grandchildren: Dr. Daniel Charous, Dr. Matthew Charous, Leah Paskar and her husband Mark Paskar, Karen Zak and her fiancé Ted Kobierski, and many nieces and nephews. The family extends its special thanks and appreciation to Francis Bresee, his caregiver for many years. Arrangements are private, and are being handled by the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street. .
Dorich Sr., George E.
George S. Dorich, Sr., age 80, of Erie, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Saint Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie on April 26, 1928 son of the late Michael and Mary Strenio Dorich. He graduated from East High School. Served in the U.S. Navy for 11 ½ years. He worked for a long time at Miller Brothers and retired from Geosource. He was very active in the Boy Scouts where he was an assistant scout master. He was very proud to have five sons as eagle scouts and a grandson. He was also proud of his granddaughter who is a silver award girl scout. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all camping at Camp Paridise. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and John Dorich. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Virginia Szulecki Dorich. Five sons, George Dorich, Jr. and his wife Karen, Dale Dorich and his wife Denise, Joe Dorich and his wife Kathy, Tom Dorich and his wife Mary, and Ed Dorich and his wife Janet all of Erie. A daughter, Darlene Seath and her husband Art of Erie. Eleven grandchildren, Kristy Chaplain, Courtney, Andy, Jason, Ambre, Joey, and Kadie Dorich, Justin, Bronte, Sierra and Regina Seath. Four great grandchildren. Three sisters, Betty Ann Wasielewski, Agnes Sturgeon and Marge Sawrey. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at The Francis V. Karen N. Doutt A memorial service to honor Karen N. Doutt will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 17, 2008 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 950 West 7 Street, Erie. Karen died suddenly January 19, 2008 in Ocala Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert A. and Mildred Kelly Henry and her brother Albert Henry. Eichelsdorfer, Charlotte E.
Charlotte Thomas Eichelsdorfer, age 90, of Erie, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at St. Mary's Home, Gallagher Center. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 8, 1918 to William and Anna Thomas. On December 26, 1938 Charlotte wed Raymond Eichelsdorfer. Charlotte was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Joseph Church - Bread of Life Community. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking pies and crooked cakes, and especially spending time with her family. She loved waking family members with her off-key singing, "Come on, get up, get up, wake with the buttercups, it's going to be a great day." In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eichelsdorfer on November 22, 1998; also her grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kathleen Eichelsdorfer and her brothers, Evan and William Thomas. Ethel, Sandra "Sandy"
Sandra "Sandy" Ethel (Stevens) Lindberg, age 68, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West, surrounded by her children. She was born October 29, 1939, daughter of the late Clara A. and Arthur A. Ames. Sandy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her children were her life treasures. She was known for her fiesty spirit with a self-sacrificing heart and being a strangers' best friend. She was also proud of her family and had special memories of Racoon Park which will be cherished. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Ames. She is survived by her husband Edward Lindberg, and deeply loved by her four children, Amelia A. Dunn and her husband Jim of Edinboro, Theresa L. Roman and her husband Glenn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kathleen M. Piccione and her husband Steve of Long Island, New York, and James L. Stevens of Warren, Michigan. She is also survived by her four devoted grandchildren, Alyssa and Gillian Dunn, Naomi Roman, and Gianna Piccione. She is also survived by her sister Joan Trimble and her husband Fred of Girard. She was dearly adored and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family, under the direction of the Glunt Funeral Home. Exley Jr., George Allen
George Allen Exley, Jr., age 64 of North East (formerly Ripley, N.Y. and Franklin, Pa.), died Wednesday, May 7, 2008. He was born August 22, 1943 in Franklin, Pa. to the late George A., Sr. and Jean Rice Exley. He had resided in North East for 39 years. Prior to his retirement, George has been employed by Welch Foods, Better Baked Foods and Hammer's Furniture. He had attended Greenfield Baptist Church. He was a member of the North East Moose Club and had also served as a volunteer fire fighter with the Rocky Grove Fire Dept. His interests included hunting and camping. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Stanley Exley and one brother, David Exley. Survivors include six children: Mark Mennor and wife Terri of Cortland, Ohio, Marty Kelly and wife Lisa of North East, Timothy Mennor and wife Nena of Mercer, Pa., Tracey Urey and husband Dan of Fredonia, Pa., Daniel Kelly and wife Patricia of North East and Kimberly Drayer and husband Kirk of Erie; one sister-in-law, Kris Exley of Rocky Grove, Pa. Also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. No calling hours will be observed. Gustafson, Mary Ellen Horstman
Mary Ellen Horstman Gustafson, 55, of Scottsdale, Ariz., passed away May 3, 2008. She was born in Erie, the daughter of Herman Horstman of Erie and the late Dolores (Dee) Horstman and her step-mother Florence Horstman. She is survived by her husband of 27 years Gary Gustafson, her son Daniel, daughter Kristin and her husband Marcus Coley and her grandson Talan Coley all of Arizona. Talan was the "light of her life." She is also survived by her three brothers; Robert Horstman and his wife Janice of Ripley, N.Y., James Horstman and his wife Dianne of Inverness, Fla., and John Horstman of Las Vegas, N.V. She also leaves a niece, nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Dolores (Dee) Horstman and her mother-in-law Dorothy Gustafson. Mary Ellen attended Holy Rosary School and St. Benedict Academy. She lived in Erie, Meadville and Arizona and now resides in heaven. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of Mary Ellen' s life is being held in Scottsdale on Mother's Day. A memorial mass will be held in Erie at a later date. William A. "Bill" Heath, age 64 of North East, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2008. He was born on February 17, 1944 in Sedalia, Mo. the son of the late Glenn Heath, Margaret Bennett Lincoln and James Lincoln. A resident of Erie since 1967, Bill had been employed with International Paper for 24 years. Bill had previously worked with the former Koehler Brewery. He was a long time member of South Harborcreek Untied Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, watching Westerns on TV; was a history buff and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ruth Morgan Heath; two daughters, Rhonda Rockwell (Hal) of Summerville, S.C. and Jennifer Zdaniewski (Glenn) of Harborcreek Twp.; one son, William E. Heath (Marcy) of Lake City, Pa.; his beloved grandchildren, Denae, Christine, Karly, Payton, Jennifer, Sarah, Angela and Daniel; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Myra Niemeyer (Dave), Sussie Johnson (Bob) and Niki Kinsley (Alan); two brothers, James Lincoln (Virginia) and Glenn Heath (Diane); many nieces nephews and cousins. Delores M. "Suzie" Heslop, age 73, of Harborcreek Twp., fell peacefully asleep on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center following an extended illness. She was born on June 14, 1934 in Punxsutawney, Pa., daughter of the late Charles LeRoy and Arabell Enterline Alcorn. A resident of Harborcreek since 1964, Delores had been employed with Penn State Behrend for 20 years in Food & Housing. She was a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God where she was active with the Joy Group. Delores enjoyed gardening, reading and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's many sporting events. Delores was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles O. Heslop, Jr.; one sister; and three brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Forsythe (Roger) of North East, Pa.; two sons, Randy Heslop and his companion Mary Lou of Findley Lake, N.Y., Kevin Heslop (Marie) of Harborcreek Twp.; four sisters, four brothers; eight grandchildren, Sharon, Jason, Joseph, Kirk, Allen, Michael, Angela and Matthew; two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Alexa; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Hulsizer, Donald Leroy
Donald Leroy Hulsizer, 82, of 329 Albion Ave., Lakeland, Fla., died Wednesday, May 7,2008 at South Florida Baptist Hospital, after a short illness. He was born May 6, 1926 in Meadville, Pa.. He was the son of Vernon and Pauline Hulsizer. On March 8, 1987, Don married Lorraine Francis (Van Tassel) Dodds. She survives. He previously married Helen Lucille Hart, and she preceded him in death in 1984. He was employed by IBM of Erie, Pa. and retired after 32 years. He was a U. S. Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a member of the Wayland Baptist Church of Meadville, Pa. and while in Lakeland attended the First Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida. He enjoyed computers, archery, deer hunting, fishing, camping, and recording music. Survivors include: his wife, Lorraine, of 21 years; two sisters, Harriett Whitley, and her husband, Bill, of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Marian Phelps and her husband, Gordon, of Meadville, Pa.; a daughter, Darlene Sharp, and her husband, Gary, of Caldwell, W.Va.; a son, Donnie Hulsizer and his wife Linda, of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter, Sharon Cadle, and her husband, Clayton, of St. Peter, Mo.; a son, Charles Dodds, and his wife, Cheryl, of Fairview, Pa.; a son, David Dodds, and his wife, Barb, of Cochranton, Pa.; a son, Kenneth Dodds, and his wife, Patsy, of Front Royal, Va.; a son, Russell Dodds, and his wife, Darla, of Franklin, Pa. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 12 at the Holiday Park Recreation Hall. Loringer, Helen "Tango"
Helen "Tango" Surgeon Loringer, age 89, a resident of Fairview passed away Thursday May 8, 2008 at her home. She was born on August 25, 1918 in Erie the daughter of the late William and Mary Kenehan Surgeon. A lifelong resident of Erie, Helen and her late husband, Alex H. Loringer, were longtime members of the the Siebenbuerger Club and enjoyed dancing, especially ballroom dancing. They also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Besides her parents and her husband Alex who died in 2001, Helen was also preceded in death by two brothers; William and Benjamin Surgeon. Helen is survived by a daughter Roselyn Schenk and her husband David of Girard and a son David Loringer and his wife Carol of Albion. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and are invited to attend Funeral Services there Monday at 12:00 noon. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum. Morris, Ralph W.
Ralph W. Morris, a resident of Hardinsburg, Ind., formerly of Union City, passed away April 17, 2008 in Warsaw, Ky. He was born in Spartanburg, Pa. on December 21, 1913, son of the late Herbert and Bessie Mae Riley Morris. Ralph was a retired mechanic having worked for General Electric in Erie until he moved to Kentucky with G.E. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Iona Barstow Morris and six siblings. He is survived by five daughters, Virginia Cunningham of North East, June Gunter of Sparta, Ky., Janice Smith of Charlestown, Ind., Janet Orick of Louisville, Ky. and Judy Ebert of Springboro, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Laurelle Lahtinen O'Leary , 79, a resident of the Pleasant Ridge Manor West, passed away there on Friday, May 9, 2008. She was born on February 7, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. the daughter of the late Lauri and Vieno Ostman Lahtinen. She was a homemaker and was active at Pleasant ridge Manor. Survivors include two sons: Jerome O'Leary of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Richard O'Leary and his wife Jane of Erie. Five daughters; Linda Amann of Fairview, Teresa Albano and her husband Vincent of Erie, Alma Rigione and her husband John of Phoenix, Ariz., Margaret Wieczorek and her husband Mark of Erie and Janet Gibbons and her husband Richard of Union City. A sister Leila Rosado of Connecticut and 21 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O'Leary, a daughter, Delores Ball, a grandson Michael Ball and a Son-in-Law, David Amann. Martha Mitchell Page, formerly of Erie, passed away Apr. 19, 2008, in Pittsburgh. She was born to the late William and Mattie (Henderson) Mitchell on Apr. 18, 1928, in Pulaski, Tenn., moving to Erie with her parents in 1935. She was educated in the Erie Public school system, worked at the Lawrence Hotel, Trask Dept. Store and Continental Rubberworks. Martha married James Page Sr., in 1949 moving to Pittsburgh where she bore and raised her 12 children. She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, James Page Jr., Leonard Page, Brian Page of Pittsburgh and Martin Page of Ohio, six daughters Sheila Page Edward, Ph.D.., of Arizona, Donna Page of Texas, Cynthia Page, Alisa Page, Charlotte Page Davis all of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mattie Page of Philadelphia, two brothers Gordon M. Mitchell M.D. of Erie and Edward Mitchell (Frances) of Texas, three sisters Robie Mae Hollingsworth of Buffalo, Mary Ann Mitchell and Maxine Doxey both of Erie. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by two sons John Oliver and Russell Alan Page, two brothers William III, and Gilbert Mitchell and one sister Myrtle Mitchell. Services were held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Pittsburgh on April 24, 2008, with the Rev. Dr. J. Van Alfred Winsett officiating. Arrangements were handled by West Funeral Home of Pittsburgh.
Phillips, Ronald William
Ronald William Phillips, 53, of Erie, died Friday, May 9, 2008 at Hamot Medical Center. He was born May 8, 1955, in Erie, son of Harold Phillips and the late Alice Slater Phillips. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his first wife Sandy Poorman Phillips. Survivors include his father Harold Phillips, three sons, Harold Phillips and twin sons Douglas and Ronnie Philips, and one daughter, Melissa Phillips. Also survived by three brothers, Howard, Donald, and Charles Phillips, three sisters, Cheryl Cassatt, Christine Russell, Bonnie Phillips all of Erie, and many nieces and nephews. Reichart, Linda L.
Linda L. Reichart, age 58, of Erie died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Fairview Manor after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Erie on March 27, 1950 the daughter of Frank E. and Julie Dudash Reichart of Edinboro. She was a graduate of Edinboro University and most recently was employed as a caseworker in the Erie County Department of Public Welfare. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and all crafts. Besides her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Dawn Mohler, and her husband, Christopher, of Erie; one son, Trenton Semon, of Erie; two sisters, Julie Gould, of Edinboro and Deborah Testi and her husband, Thomas, of Fairview; two brothers, Frank Reichart, of Cambridge Springs, and Timothy Reichart, of Edinboro; three grandchildren, Carson, Delaney, and Maggie Mohler. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Rigazzi, Adolph J.
Adolph J. Rigazzi, age 82, a resident of Erie died Thursday May 8, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family. Adolph was born on July 22, 1925 in Erie the son of the late Paul and Marietta Clement Rigazzi. Adolph was a graduate of Erie Tech High School where he ran both low and high hurdles, but his real love was the game of baseball. He was one of the youngest pitchers in the Erie City League in the 1930's having pitched at the age of 11. He also pitched in the Industrial League. He coached Little League for 25 years, having been named Coach of the Year in 1961. Adolph bequeathed his love of the sport to his grandson Andrew. Andrew was proud to have his grandfather present at every MYAA game where he played and umpired. Adolph served with the U.S. Army. He worked at the Continental Rubber Works, where he served as Treasurer for the United Rubber Workers Local 61. He retired from work at the Erie County Domestic Relations Office. He also served as Treasurer for Erie's Democratic Party 6th Ward for 20 years. Adolph is survived by his wife Josephine Laskoff Rigazzi; a son, Paul Rigazzi of Phoenix, Ariz. and; a daughter, Catherine Jeannerat and her husband David of Erie along with three brothers; Anthony Rigazzi and his wife Gloria, Louis Rigazzi (Joe Krozak), and Esterino Rigazzi, all of Erie. He is further survived by a grandson Andrew Musarra and two step-granddaughters Adrienne and Christina Jeannerat, along with several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph-Bread of Life Catholic Church. Rudler, Dolores A.
Dolores A. Rudler, age 79, of Albion, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center after a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Wills) Lynch. Dolores was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a life member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She loved her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed sewing and bowling. She was an avid McDowell football fan and a devoted follower of the Rudler Brothers Band. She was proud of the fact that she still lived independently at her own home in Albion. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Lynch, an infant sister, Mary Lynch, and her former husband, Lawrence Rudler. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Rudler and his wife Karen of Erie, Robert Rudler and his wife Suzanne of Girard, one sister, Jane Wynne and her husband Scotty of Hubbard, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Joseph & Derek, Neal, Adrianne, Heather, Austin, and Sarah. Friends may call the Steff-Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Salzer, Gloria H.
Gloria H. Salzer, age 80, of Erie passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Twinbrook Medical Center. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 28, 1927, a daughter of the late George and Claire Butters Hunt. Over the years, Gloria worked at General Electric, the Boston Store, Holiday Shop, Super Duper, Festival Foods and Tops Market. She was preceded in death by her husband John F. Salzer on August 11, 2007, a son Michael Salzer and a brother George Hunt. Gloria is survived by a daughter, Carol Strasser, husband Jeffrey of Erie; three sons, Donald Salzer, David Salzer and Frederick Salzer, all of Erie; two grandchildren, Michael Salzer and Angelena Velez and a brother, Lance Hunt. Senger, Elaine M.
Elaine M. Ferguson Senger, age 91, formerly of 949 West 30th St., died Thursday May 8, 2008 at St. Mary's Home, The Gallagher Center. She was born in Erie on November 18, 1916 daughter of the late William and Mabel Diehl Ferguson. She worked as an assembler at Marx Toy's She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Senger who died in 1987. A daughter, Joan Jones who died in 2004 and a brother, William Ferguson and a daughter in law, Dianne Senger. She is survived by three sons, Richard Senger of Vestal, N.Y., James Senger and his wife Tammy and William Senger and his wife Gloria all of Erie. A son in law, Ron Jones of Erie, Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday at Sacred Heart Church at 12:30pm The Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras Street is in charge of the arrangements. . Yeager, Mary Jane Malone Stahlbaum
Mary Jane Yeager, age 78, passed away peacefully with family at her side, Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at her residence after a long illness. She was born in Dubois, Pa., on October 31, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Webber) Malone. Mary was a graduate of Academy High School. She worked for Lawson Corporation and Comtech Technologies. Mary loved her children and family, and always had a smile. She enjoyed square dancing, bingo, jigsaw puzzles, Casino gambling, and bowling. She was a great cook with excellent baking skills. She was a softball spectator extraordinaire while attending her granddaughters' softball games. Her brothers, Mike Malone and John Malone, preceded Mary in death. Survivors include two sisters, Grace Rodgers of Florida, and Ella-mae Nowczynski, three sons, Robert Stahlbaum of Erie, James Stahlbaum of Millcreek, Thomas Yeager of West Springfield, one daughter, Anna Youngquist and her husband, Dave, of Millcreek. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Wendi, Frank, and Robert Spencer of Austin, Texas, Danielle and Lisa Stahlbaum of Millcreeek Twp., John Yacobozzi of Erie, Charlie Yeager of Erie, Kayla Yeager of Erie, and Robert Stahlbaum of Erie, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A private memorial celebrating Mary's life will be held by her immediate family at a later date.
